INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL

Being a crucial component of the quality assurance mechanism in the higher educational institutions in India, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) helps in promoting a culture of quality, enhancing accountability, facilitating continuous improvements, and meeting regulatory requirements set by bodies such as the UGC and the NAAC. The IQAC is typically made up of faculty members, administrators, and other stakeholders who are dedicated to improving the institution’s education and services. The IQAC oversees the preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR), which features the institution’s quality assurance activities and progress towards meeting quality improvement objectives. Apart from maintaining a syllabus and curriculum, the progress of an educational institution is amplified by implementing diverse methods like the usage of ICT tools, executing experimental learning techniques, and using critical teaching as a part of classroom pedagogy. Assessments such as POs and COs also help in ensuring that the educational programme and individual courses are aligned with the overall learning goals and objectives of the institution. The implementation of quality assurance measures such as academic audits, feedback mechanisms, and performance indicators of the educational institution also improves the overall quality.

  • To encourage faculty to use ICT enabled learning tools to establish a student-centered learning environment and promote value-based education.
  • To Encourage departments to host seminars, workshops, conferences, and symposia.
  • To assess department progress annually through timely internal and external Academic and Administrative Audits.
  • To involve stakeholders in decision-making policies to establish relationships.
  • To promote institutional and social responsibility.

  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and commitment to quality in all aspects ofthe institution's functioning through developing benchmarks for various academic andadministrative activities with a focus on national and international standards.
  • Encouraging research activities, innovations in teaching methods, and the integration of technology for improved educational outcomes through organizing professional development programs for faculty and staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and teaching methodologies.
  • Enhancing the overall effectiveness of the institution by identifying areas for improvement, implementing strategic initiatives, and assessing outcomes.
  •  Identifying, promoting, and adopting best practices in academic and administrative functions to enhance the overall quality of the institution.

STRATEGIES

  •  Develop and implement a faculty development program to enhance teaching and research skills, including pedagogy workshops, research methodology training, and faculty mentoring.
  •  Establish a robust assessment and evaluation system to ensure quality standards in examinations, assignments, and project assessments, and promote a culture of feedback and improvement.
  •  Strengthen industry-academia collaborations through internships, guest lectures, industry visits, and industry-relevant curriculum development.
  •  Encourage and support faculty research initiatives by providing research grants, organizing research conferences, and facilitating publication in reputed journals.
