Discipline Cell
Objective
Ensure a disciplined and conducive environment for learning within the college.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and address disciplinary issues among students.
- Plan and propose necessary budget for discipline-related activities.
- Organize awareness programs on college rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with staff and faculty to enforce disciplinary policies.
- Ensure these policies are oriented to the students and faculty.
- Display disciplinary policies and punishments for violating the policy.
- Establish a strict protocol to address disciplinary issues on campus.
- Provide counselling and support for students with behavioural issues in coordination with the Counselling Cell.
- Maintain records of disciplinary actions and resolutions taken by the committee.
Things to Consider
- Ensure disciplinary measures are fair and consistent.
- Promote a culture of respect and responsibility among students.
- Coordinate with the Anti-Ragging, Anti-Sexual Harassment, and Mentoring Cell.
- Ensure the discipline policies are displayed on the college website in coordination with the Website Committee.
Protocol to be Followed
- The Convenor must use the committee seal on all circulars and documents issued by the committee.
- Announce discipline-related updates and activities well in advance through circulars and online platforms.
- Submit a statistical report on committee activities and achievements to the Principal at the end of each semester.
- Coordinate with the Timetable Committee to ensure disciplinary activities do not disrupt regular academic activities.
- Ensure timely communication with students regarding disciplinary guidelines and updates.
- Conduct regular assemblies with students to check for proper attire and ID cards.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of disciplinary measures on student behavior and the college environment.
- Submit the meeting books on the 5th of every month.
